Job Description:

As an Atlassian Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency, scalability, reliability, and governance of our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. You will support internal IT, engineering, business, and operations teams by maintaining platform integrity, standardizing configurations, designing scalable workflows, and helping teams adopt best practices. You will be part of the Shared Services Process Automation team, which focuses on improving the efficiency of how collaborative tools are used across the organization. Process mapping, workflow optimization, and building automations that connect multiple systems are part of everyday work. We are looking for someone who can take a broader view on efficiency and process improvement, not limiting their perspective only to Atlassian technologies. This role is an excellent fit for an experienced Atlassian Engineer who wants to grow into additional areas and explore new tools

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensuring the consistency, scalability, reliability, and governance of our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
  • Supporting internal IT, engineering, business, and operations teams by maintaining platform integrity, standardizing configurations, designing scalable workflows, and helping teams adopt best practices
  • Being part of the Shared Services Process Automation team, which focuses on improving the efficiency of how collaborative tools are used across the organization
  • Process mapping, workflow optimization, and building automations that connect multiple systems are part of everyday work

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience administering or engineering Atlassian tools (Jira, JSM, Confluence)
  • Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permission models, licenses, custom fields, and project configurations
  • Experience designing and maintaining JSM request types, SLAs, queues, automations, and service structures
  • Ability to design and implement advanced, custom automations that leverage APIs of various internal and external systems to streamline processes and extend the capabilities of our Atlassian platform
  • Knowledge of workflow automation, scripting, REST API integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Confluence configuration, space management, and content structuring
  • Ability to translate business processes into scalable Jira/JSM configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving configuration issues, integrations, and performance problems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support both technical and non-technical users

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Asana or OTRS, or willingness to learn them, as well as an interest in exploring Google Workspace and Slack to ensure that process automations and integrations fit seamlessly into our company’s collaboration stack
  • Experience designing approval flows, CMDB-like structures, asset management components
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps for scaling platform capabilities
  • Understanding of ITSM / ITIL processes
