We are looking for a committed At Your Service Agent (AYS) who is passionate about customer service. The successful candidate will operate the hotel switchboard in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner, maintaining Marriott brand and hotel service standards. The AYS Agent will respond to guest inquiries about hotel Information, dining Information, and direct calls appropriate to the hotel personnel.
Job Responsibility:
Operate the hotel switchboard in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
Maintain Marriott brand and hotel service standards
Respond to guest inquiries about hotel information and dining information
Direct calls appropriate to the hotel personnel
Use private branch exchange (PBX) switchboard to connect interoffice and house calls
Answer, screen, and route outside and in-house calls
Keep record of requests placed by guests and ensure requests are completed
Operate radio system to relay in-house messages and information
Input wake up calls
Place welcome calls to guests
Enter in room service orders
Accept and log packages
Enter in GXP work order requests
Complete any additional input requests of guests or staff as needed
Understand and can react to emergency situations and procedures
Utilize PBX and front office computer system
Initiate a positive guest experience with the hotel
Coordinate emergency communications to the fire and emergency response units
Understand all hotel emergency procedures and coordinate communications during fire, health, and elevator emergencies
Accept all messages for in house, expected arrival and function guests and ensure their efficient and timely distribution
Review daily listings of upcoming hotel events
Develop general hotel operational background to provide information to guests
Report on telephone-related problems to Front Office Manager
Assist guests with dialing instructions as requested
Accept time and charges from outside operators
Deliver to Front Desk to ensure the timely posting of these charges to the guest's account
Requirements:
Prior Marriott system experience is encouraged but not required
