Job Description:

Responsible for following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and payment of items. Works closely with the Executive Chef and ensures all aspects of purchasing are managed effectively to maintain quality and profitability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Formulates an approved vendors list
  • generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • assures sanitation compliance
  • assists Executive Chef in purchasing to ensure quality and profitability
  • maintains inventory controls
  • ensures proper bookkeeping procedures
  • develops specific goals to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks
  • interacts with kitchen staff, vendors, and Executive Chef
  • analyzes information and evaluates results to solve problems
  • manages discipline work and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
  • minimum of 2 years’ experience in Purchasing or a related field
