We are looking for an Associate to join a litigation practice in Dallas, Texas, supporting a broad range of complex civil disputes. This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who can take ownership of casework, contribute thoughtfully at every stage of litigation, and thrive in a collaborative, results-driven legal environment. The role offers meaningful exposure to sophisticated matters involving product liability, toxic tort, general liability, commercial disputes, and public-sector litigation.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee an active litigation docket with increasing independence, ensuring matters move forward efficiently and in alignment with case strategy
Conduct fact and expert witness depositions and use testimony to strengthen case development and defense planning
Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings through thorough review and strategic guidance
Evaluate incoming discovery demands, identify key legal and factual issues, and develop effective response strategies
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery materials while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and persuasive legal analysis
Support trial preparation by organizing case materials, coordinating evidence, and assisting with courtroom readiness
Maintain timely and precise billing and timekeeping records in accordance with firm and client expectations
Requirements:
At least 2 years of litigation experience, with background in asbestos matters or product liability litigation viewed favorably
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
Hands-on experience with motion practice and managing depositions
Demonstrated ability to lead plaintiff and expert depositions effectively
Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and written advocacy skills
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
