An award-winning law firm based in Richmond is seeking an ambitious Associate to join their specialist Private Wealth team. The Private Wealth department advises on a broad mix of private client matters, including estate planning, Wills, trusts, tax planning, and probate. The role includes managing a varied caseload, building long-term relationships, and contributing to team and business development.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a varied caseload independently including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate administration, Trust creation and administration, Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning
  • Supporting clients through sensitive transitions with empathy and professionalism
  • Building long-term, trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals
  • Assisting in the training and development of junior solicitors and trainees
  • Participating in marketing and business development initiatives to promote the Private Wealth team’s profile in Richmond and the wider region

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4-7 years of private client experience
  • Strong understanding of Private Wealth matters including trusts, estate planning, and probate
  • STEP qualification or working towards (desirable)
  • Excellent client care and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional approach
  • Interest in supporting team growth and external business development
