Job Description:

An award-winning law firm based in Richmond is seeking an ambitious Associate to join their specialist Private Wealth team. The Private Wealth department advises on a broad mix of private client matters, including estate planning, Wills, trusts, tax planning, and probate. The role includes managing a varied caseload, building long-term relationships, and contributing to team and business development.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a varied caseload independently including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate administration, Trust creation and administration, Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning
Supporting clients through sensitive transitions with empathy and professionalism
Building long-term, trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals
Assisting in the training and development of junior solicitors and trainees
Participating in marketing and business development initiatives to promote the Private Wealth team’s profile in Richmond and the wider region

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4-7 years of private client experience
Strong understanding of Private Wealth matters including trusts, estate planning, and probate
STEP qualification or working towards (desirable)
Excellent client care and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional approach
Interest in supporting team growth and external business development
