Thriving plaintiff's law firm is looking for a motivated Associate to join a dynamic law firm based in Los Angeles, California. This growing firm primarily focuses on plaintiff employment litigation and personal injury cases, offering an excellent opportunity to work on impactful legal matters. The role provides a chance to manage cases from inception to trial while collaborating with experienced partners and a supportive team.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of approximately 30-35 cases, primarily single plaintiff employment litigation and some personal injury matters
Oversee cases from start to finish, including trial preparation and execution
Draft legal motions, conduct discovery, and handle depositions effectively
Collaborate with senior attorneys to second-chair trials and gain trial experience
Prepare comprehensive case strategies and ensure timely progress on all legal matters
Participate in trial activities, including presenting evidence and arguments
Build strong client relationships and advocate for their legal rights
Work independently while contributing to a collegial and team-oriented environment
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in plaintiff employment litigation
Proficiency in managing cases from inception to trial, including trial preparation
Strong skills in drafting legal motions and conducting depositions
Familiarity with employment law and personal injury legal frameworks
Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle a diverse caseload
Ability to work collaboratively with partners and team members
Licensed to practice law in California
