Job Description

Apex Systems is hiring for an Associate Workstation (PC refresh) for a large healthcare client. Location: Denver, Colorado (100% Onsite). *You must have your own reliable transportation as this will require driving to multiple client locations. Mileage is reimbursed at standard IRS rates. Employment Type: 6-month contract with potential to extend or convert. Role Overview: We are seeking an Associate Workstation Technician for an on-site role in Denver, CO. The selected resource will join a team responsible for replacing and upgrading PCs and laptops across various client sites. This position requires direct client interaction and previous experience in a PC support capacity. The role involves supporting a Microsoft-based network environment, including Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.

Job Responsibility

  • Travel between client sites to perform PC and laptop replacements and upgrades
  • Install and maintain PC hardware, software, and applications, including Windows operating systems
  • Troubleshoot network usage and computer peripherals to resolve technical issues
  • Perform data transfer and recovery tasks for users
  • Manage incoming and outgoing computing assets and update asset management systems
  • Interview clients to identify special considerations and settings during pre-deployment discovery
  • Receive, move, and stage equipment for build and imaging activities
  • Collaborate with teammates to identify and implement process improvements
  • Lift and move equipment, with an average weight of 20 lbs and a maximum of 50 lbs with assistance

Requirements

  • Entry-level experience (0-1 year) with PC support, including hardware troubleshooting, repair, installation, and deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of profile management and data transfer processes
  • HSD or GED completed
  • Must have your own reliable transportation

Nice to have

  • Experience with Mac systems is a plus
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role is a plus
