Job Description:

Global Strategy and Planning helps inform strategic decision-making and acts as a catalyst and driver for strategic change. The team constructively challenges the business with critical thinking and innovative insight to improve the way we do business.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in strategic IWPB projects and Group-wide initiatives assessing structural long term opportunities for HSBC leveraging IWPB capabilities
Provide support and build relationships with Senior Stakeholders
Undertake analysis to support the development and track execution of IWPB strategy
Identify key issues / opportunities and using HSBC and external sources to provide actionable recommendations for the IWPB
Effectively communicate (both written and oral) analyses across internal stakeholders – within IWPB strategy, across strategy colleagues in the bank and across other functions within IWPB

Requirements:

Structured analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from complex data sources
Self-sufficient and results driven with ability to demonstrate resilience
Strong technical skills in particular Excel and PowerPoint
Good quantitative background
Strong interpersonal and written communications skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Confidence in liaising across the organisation with an ability to deliver clear, insightful and succinct analyses
Ability to prioritise effectively against multiple deadlines
