The Associate/Vice President will support the origination, structuring, execution and portfolio management of Export Credit Agency ("ECA"), multilateral agencies, and private insurers finance transactions across the Middle East (Gulf Cooperation Council & Egypt). The role requires strong client relationship capabilities, transaction execution skills, and the ability to coordinate internally across products, coverage, legal, compliance, distribution, and risk teams, as well as externally with ECAs, borrowers, sponsors, advisors, and other lenders. The successful candidate is expected to progressively develop into a senior originator and trusted advisor for clients and internal stakeholders regionally and globally.
Job Responsibility
Support the origination, structuring, execution and portfolio management of Export Credit Agency ("ECA"), multilateral agencies, and private insurers finance transactions across the Middle East (Gulf Cooperation Council & Egypt)
Develop EFS activities in the region including internal and external marketing, origination and, when needed, acting as Deal Leader/Transaction Manager of EFS transactions
Identify and originate ECA-backed financing opportunities with sovereigns, corporates, project sponsors, and financial institutions
Draft indicative offers in collaboration with the Products & Structuring team of the EFS business line
Maintain and develop relationships with clients and government entities, Export Credit Agencies, exporters and EPC contractors, financial institutions and syndicate banks, external advisors and consultants
Work closely with Coverage and other product teams to deliver integrated financing solutions
Structure and execute ECA-covered and structured export finance transactions across various sectors including infrastructure, energy, transport, industrials, and telecom
Coordinate due diligence processes including financial, technical, legal, insurance and environmental & social aspects
Lead or support negotiations of financing documentation alongside the Products & Structuring team and external counsel
Prepare credit applications, internal committee materials, and transaction presentations
Coordinate execution processes from mandate through signing and financial close
Monitor transaction performance and ongoing client relationships
Support portfolio reviews, waivers, amendments, and refinancing opportunities
Work closely with Coverage teams, Products & Structuring team, Trade Finance, Syndication & Distribution, Sustainable Banking / ESG, Legal and Compliance, Senior management across regional and global platforms
Contribute to strategic initiatives, business planning, and franchise development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field
Minimum 6 to 12 years of experience in the export finance sector or in a structured finance environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with ability to prepared high-quality client presentations, proposals, and transaction-related documentation
Proactive, disciplined and solutions oriented
Commercial mindset with strong relationship management skills
Ability to work under pressure and a commitment to solving issues
Strong familiarity with ECA financing structures and OECD consensus framework
Strong understanding of ECA loan documentation and financing structures
Experience in Middle East-related transactions preferred
Ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder transactions
Prior experience within CACIB or strong familiarity with CACIB's systems, processes, governance framework and operating model would be a strong advantage
Fluency in English both written and spoken required
Arabic and/or French would be a strong advantage
Nice to have
Master's degree and/or CFA considered an advantage
Experience in Middle East-related transactions preferred
