Job Description:

Responsible for managing collection and recovery efforts for delinquent secured loans portfolio. Ensure efficient recovery while adhering to regulatory requirements. Lead collection agents and collaborate with legal counsel for recovery strategies. Ensure compliance with internal and external audits as well as risk mitigation strategies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set monthly/quarterly targets for the DCA in line with business requirement
  • Motivate External Debt Collection Agencies (DCA’s) to achieve set targets in terms of Money Recovery Rate (MRR), Gross Credit Loss (GCL), Flow Rates, Recoveries & Provision releases & saves while remaining aligned to operating principles
  • Identify accounts and initiate legal action under SARFAESI/CIVIL/DRT
  • Implement C19 and C23 Agency Management Standards to help mitigate conduct and reputation related risks
  • Design and implement effective collection strategies for different stages of delinquency
  • Maintain performance records and ensure collection efforts are captured on the collections system
  • Extend support to External Debt Collection Agencies (DCA’s) to follow HSBC’s Customer Fairness Principles
  • Lead negotiations with delinquent customers to resolve issues
  • Conduct audit checks and provide feedback to DCAs
  • Drive collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance collections efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Graduate (BSc/BCom/BA)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Secured Collections and vendor management
  • Strong Knowledge of Collections law and regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of legal procedures on the secured products i.e. SARFAESI/ DRT/ CIVIL/ NCLT
  • Strong Communication & analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge on the Banking sector in general.
