Pawleys Veterinary Hospital, located on Pawleys Island, South Carolina is less than 5 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the South Strand! We have a large number of excellent restaurants, a river walk, and a marsh walk all within a 15-20-minute drive. North of town, Brookgreen Gardens has a zoo, a collection of world class outdoor sculptures, elaborate gardens, and hosts a variety of cultural events throughout the year. Across the street, Huntington Beach State Park is home to a large campground, Atalaya, a Moorish-style castle, walking trails, wetlands and a beach with lifeguards during the summer season. It is a favorite location for bird watchers year-round and alligators can be easily found during the warmer months. If you are looking for more attractions, Myrtle Beach is just a short 30-minute drive north and Charleston, with all its culture and history, are just 90 minutes south of town. Perhaps the best part of Pawleys Island is its small town, laid back atmosphere, even during the height of the summer visitor season.
