Job Description:

Using a suite of modern tools, the Full Stack Tester will play a pivotal role in helping us to automate our move towards a truly continuous integration and continuous deployment environment. You will work with our product and development teams to ensure that we are constantly analysing the automated tests that we design and execute for each of our products. You will report to the QA Manager, work alongside the Test Lead, product and development teams to ensure a high standard of quality in our products. You will carry out automated functional testing on our products. You will have the chance to test modern products based on Microsoft .NET technology. You will design, maintain and execute suites automated tests using modern languages and tools such as C#, Visual Studio, Selenium, Playwright, JavaScript and Microsoft Azure DevOps. You will be responsible for working through and developing our backlog to make constant improvements and additions to our existing automated tests. You will review and automate existing manual test cases. You will also be responsible for creating and reviewing defects, tracking their progress from their discovery through to their resolution, ensuring that they are adequately documented and tested. You will initially be key member of Testing Center of Excellence within the business unit and responsible for introducing test automation and improving the quality across the products. This role will be instrumental in defining and executing the overall QA strategy, working with high-performing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership in TCoE, deep expertise in modern testing methodologies, and a passion for driving continuous improvement and excellence in software quality. Over time your role will grow and become more varied as you begin to test a larger variety of products across the NEC SWS. Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the implementation of modern test automation frameworks and tools
  • Oversee test architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability of automation solutions
  • Promote shift-left testing practices and support developers in embedding quality
  • Implementation of automation frameworks for middleware and backend service-based applications in critical infrastructure design
  • Designing and executing automated tests on the latest revisions of the software
  • Participating in the development of our automated testing framework, assisting our move towards automated testing in a CI/CD environment
  • Interpreting requirements from existing manual test cases and specification documents
  • Liaising with Manual Testers and / or Business Analysts to understand the requirements
  • Liaising with the product and development teams to ensure that our backlog is up to date
  • Providing estimates regarding the test effort required to complete work
  • Raising bugs and liaising with the development team from discovery through to resolution
  • Setting up and configuring the testing environment and associated database(s)
  • Working with and communicating frequently with a DevOps team to ensure smooth product delivery from beginning to end
  • Preparing the test execution report and sharing it with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience with C# / Java Script
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in Test Automation using various tools such as Selenium, Playwright etc
  • Experience developing and executing automated test cases for User Interfaces
  • Knowledge of software development in a web environment
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Able to prioritise between several tasks at any one time
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, extremely responsive
  • Be comfortable discussing technical aspects of projects with other testers, developers & business owners

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Azure DevOps
  • Experience using Selenium and Playwright or equivalent tools
  • Usage of latest AI tools
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience testing User Interfaces and databases
  • You'll have ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent certifications or be working towards achieving them
  • Experience using virtual machines (Hyper V / Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience coordinating with external/Offshore QA resources
