Are you a creatively minded fashion practitioner? Could you support our students to create contemporary designs worthy of the catwalk? If you can, an exciting opportunity is now available on our Fashion & Textiles technical team. We’re looking for someone who can help our students with all elements of garment construction and oversee safe studio practice in our professionally equipped Fashion Studios. Our technical resources areas provide students with access to some of the UK’s best technical facilities for making and creating, and our Fashion Studios are no exception. You will be overseeing a busy studio environment where students our students learn their craft using a range of specialist equipment including pattern cutting tables, sewing machines, overlockers, buttonholers, pressing equipment and mannequins. Most of your time will be devoted to working with learners and providing technical support and advice to those studying on our highly successful Fashion course.

Requirements:
Friendly, helpful, committed, hard-working, willing to learn, enjoys problem solving and using initiative
Skilled fashion maker and creator with proven experience of professional working practices relating to a range of garment production processes
Good knowledge of pattern cutting, tailoring, fabrics, and production methods associated with contemporary fashion design
Active interest and awareness of industry trends, products, and development
