Job Description:

As our new Associate Technical Director, Substations Design. You’ll be a vital part of the team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Winning Work & Client Relationships: Responsible for achievement of revenue and relevant utilisation targets, developing of client proposals and tenders in conjunction with Business Development
  • Project Delivery: Accountable for the overall success of all aspects of projects assigned by the Technical Director
  • Financial management: Manage project profitability and financial contribution for projects allocated by the Technical Director
  • People Management & Competency Development: Responsible for the leadership, management, development, and motivation of a small team

Requirements:

  • Be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering professional/technical primary or secondary substation design with experience of high voltage (400-500KVA)
  • Strong engineering consulting and client management skills, experienced in the delivery of major and/or complex design projects
  • Excellent communicator with well-developed commercial, analytical, and technical skills, with a strong client focus and proven track record in business development
  • Ability to manage projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept, and detailed design, and to demonstrate leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to lead a small team of junior staff

  • Attend site visits, FAT and SAT as required
