The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Systems Administrator to join the team in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will support both in classified and unclassified areas as well as supporting the National Team, Ground based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and PAC-3. The selected candidate will be required to support installation, set-up and operational support with Linux systems and hardware interfaces. To be successful, the selected candidate must have an advanced understanding of Information Technology (IT) concepts and the ability to think independently and create solutions with non-standard equipment.

Job Responsibility:

Assists in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
Provides support for the design, validation and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems
Performs system monitoring and backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability
Administers users system access to meet security requirements
Performs problem resolution as appropriate

Requirements:

Active CompTIA Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements), and/or the ability to obtain post-hire (required)
1+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11
1+ years of experience with designing & implementing Windows Systems
Experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems

Nice to have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
3+ years of experience with maintaining/configuring AD
3+ years of experience with PowerShell to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets
3+ years of experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
3+ years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
3+ years of experience evaluating and effectively communicating system problems and resolution
3+ years of experience Integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
