The Associate Specialist in Government Affairs and Policy will support Mastercard's government affairs and policy objectives in Europe by assisting in the strategic planning initiatives and execution of the strategy. Reporting to the Vice President, Government Affairs & Policy, Europe, the successful candidate will support the team with the day to day running, helping to build positive relationships with governmental bodies, policymakers, and other stakeholders in Brussels as well as successfully communicate the team's strategy and impact with internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct research on policy issues and contribute to developing and delivering strategic planning initiatives within the government affairs team.
Assist in the preparation of letters, meeting briefings, consultation responses, and position papers.
Support with the development and maintenance of relationships with key government officials, industry representatives, and advocacy groups, including supporting with creating and managing the stakeholder engagement tracker.
Assist with the procurement process for services and partnerships with third parties.
Assist with preparation of regular reporting to senior executives.
Requirements:
You are eligible for a Rosetta contract (less than 24yo)
Recent graduate with a degree in finance, politics, public policy, law, international relations, or a related field.
Strong analytical and research abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in English, any other languages are an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Interest in government processes, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
