This position is office-based hybrid in Munich - 3 days per week. Bring your drive. Make a difference. Join our Solutions Engineering team at Personio and be a part of something big – not just for yourself, but for your teammates and your customers. Together, we’re building relationships, solving problems, and impacting the way people experience work every single day. As an Associate Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Revenue and Success organization, reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering. You will work primarily with our German sales team supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will be part of the interface between sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success, and data privacy on technical and product-related projects. You will also be developing foundational expertise to deliver value to both customers and the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with our sales team focused on our customers in Germany
  • Collaborate with account executives & other solution engineers on sales opportunities to determine and validate technical requirements, product use cases and solution scope
  • Develop deep technical knowledge of Personio’s product suite and be part of the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects
  • Support the creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including business value assessment with ROI/TCO calculations
  • Support other regions/markets as required
  • Travel to customer site as needed (10-20% of time)

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer facing experience in B2B SaaS
  • Technical background and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols
  • Customer-centric and commercially driven
  • Data-driven, think analytically and able to rightsize efforts based on customer/business needs
  • Clear and structured communication style that can suit changing dynamics
  • Native in German and fluent English required
