Big Spaceship is looking for an Associate Social Strategy Director to lead social strategy for a high-profile medical aesthetics brand. This role requires deep expertise across paid and organic social, a strong understanding of FDA regulations and the ability to translate business objectives into smart, insight-driven strategy. A passion for beauty, skincare, and aesthetics is a major plus. You know how to turn insight into action. You understand how audiences engage across platforms, how to build integrated campaign briefs, and how to navigate regulatory realities without sacrificing creative ambition. You’re collaborative, proactive, and comfortable leading from a strategic standpoint.

Job Responsibility

  • Build deep knowledge of the client’s business, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to drive strategic recommendations
  • Lead development of integrated social strategies across paid and organic channels
  • Develop comprehensive briefs for major campaign initiatives
  • Partner closely with creative and account to ensure work is insight-driven, compliant, and performance-focused
  • Translate research, social listening, survey data, and trend insights into actionable recommendations
  • Confidently present work and lead strategic discussions with clients
  • Ensure paid social strategy aligns with audience segmentation, platform best practices, and performance KPIs
  • Drive alignment between paid and organic social efforts

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Social Strategy, Brand Planning, or Digital Strategy within an advertising agency
  • Demonstrated expertise in paid social strategy
  • strong command of organic social best practices
  • Experience working in regulated industries
  • pharma experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in beauty, skincare, or aesthetics categories is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to develop strategic briefs, POVs, and presentations
  • Comfortable leading client conversations and owning strategic work streams
  • Strong understanding of platform mechanics, audience targeting, and performance measurement
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent presentation and narrative-building skills
