The Associate Service/Product Offer Management Specialist is an entry level subject matter expert, responsible for learning the skills to manage the lifecycle of a product or service. This role learns to bring the knowledge of a product or service to the required crafting of a technical solution(s) in support of clients and has some understanding of the organization thereby ensuring that their crafted solution(s) meet client requirements. This role is helps to promote and position the company's product and / or services in the market and is required to identify new commercially viable products or services, as well as any opportunities for the enhancement of existing products or services. By monitoring the legislative, regulatory environment and shareholder requirements, the Associate Service Product/Offer Management Specialist can help provide insights and impact assessments to the organization and ensure full compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Under guidance, engages with Engineers, Consultants, Technical Architects and Solution Architects to ensure that the crafted solution meets client requirements
Develops skills to deliver product training to client facing staff
Provides assistance to the Sales team to ensure that they are equipped to close deals that involve their products and services
With guidance, engage with and offer support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project’s success
Assists with analyzing product data to establish trends and insights using internal and external sources
Assists with the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes and services
Follows standard operating procedures to research and interpret competitor offerings and market trends against organizational client base with a strong data analysis focus
Assists with product design and modelling/testing new and existing solutions
Supports the drafting and maintenance of product specifications documents
Gages market trends associated with the particular product of product line
Supports with providing product knowledge input assistance for compiling client proposals
Supports with writing RFI/RFP responses and bids and obtain vendor product certification for the product portfolio
Involvement in product development life cycle in order to understand how new products or new product features will impact both the end user and the client facing areas that directly support end users
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business or related field
Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial
Entry level experience in a similar position, preferably gained within a global technology services organization
Entry level experience gained within the technology industry
Entry level track record managing the implementation new products or product lines
Some knowledge of market segments and product portfolio categories
Understanding of connectivity services and cloud connectivity as well as wholesale capacity sales on subsea cables
Some knowledge of product lifecycles and technology solutions
Some knowledge of product management disciplines and tools
Demonstrates financial awareness and commercial acumen
Possesses strategic thinking skills with sound presentation and public speaking abilities
Some problem analysis and solution formulation capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication ability
Some understanding of the organization's transformation and change programs
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the technologies related to product areas
Some understanding of the product’s functionality and capability
Displays an astute mind-set with critical thinking ability
