In this vital and exciting role, you will serve as a Scientific Documentation & Enablement Specialist who will support the adoption and effective use of complex scientific and informatics workflows across Large Molecule Discovery (LMD). This role serves as a bridge between technical development teams and scientific end users by creating clear, accurate, and accessible documentation that guides research users and new hires. The specialist will translate multifaceted workflow steps, decision points, system interactions, and expected outputs into practical guidance that supports consistent day-to-day execution. Working closely with scientists, informaticians, software engineers, and workflow owners, this individual will develop and maintain user-facing documentation, quick reference guides (QRGs), training materials, and workflow guidance that help researchers understand how to complete complex processes accurately and efficiently. The role will also help establish documentation standards and best practices that promote consistency, usability, and adoption across the LMD informatics ecosystem. This position is ideal for someone with a scientific background who enjoys organizing complex workflow information and communicating it in a way that is intuitive, actionable, and meaningful to research users.
Job Responsibility
Develop clear, scientist-facing documentation for AI, informatics, and digital research workflows across Large Molecule Discovery
Create QRGs, user guides, SOPs, FAQs, workflow documentation, training materials, and onboarding resources that support effective technology adoption
Translate complex technical concepts, workflow logic, software functionality, and AI capabilities into practical guidance for scientific users
Partner with scientific, informatics, data, and technology teams to validate content, communicate platform changes, and support integration into routine operations
Establish and maintain documentation repositories, standards, templates, terminology, governance processes, and review cycles to ensure content is accurate, current, consistent, and discoverable
Collaborate with technical teams to validate documentation content and ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
Gather user feedback to improve documentation usability, adoption, and overall user experience
Support change management and broader enablement initiatives that drive the adoption of digital, AI-enabled, and informatics capabilities across LMD
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Scientific Communications, Technical Writing, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field and relevant professional experience
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of directly related experience
OR Master's degree and 2+ years of directly related experience
Nice to have
Experience in developing technical documentation, user guides, SOPs, or training materials for scientific or technical audiences
Able to simplify complex scientific workflows, software platforms, data tools, AI applications, and digital research technologies without compromising accuracy
Understand biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, biologics discovery, computational biology, and related scientific disciplines
Support technology adoption, onboarding, user enablement, training programs, and organizational change initiatives
Use documentation management systems, collaboration platforms, and knowledge repositories such as Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Notion, or similar tools
Create workflow diagrams, process maps, instructional content, presentations, workshops, and visual learning materials
Communicate effectively with scientific, technical, and business stakeholders in matrixed environments
Manage multiple documentation and enablement initiatives while working in Agile or cross-functional project delivery environments
