Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Governance & Themes located in Ireland. This role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Regulatory Governance & Themes in identifying and analyzing key regulatory themes and trends that impact our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker who can assess potential challenges and opportunities, providing insightful advice to senior stakeholders. This role will aid the Head of Regulatory Governance & Themes in assessing the Fitness &Probity and adherence to the SMR of our regulated bodies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in identifying and analysing key regulatory themes and trends and help evaluate their potential impact on the business
  • Aid the team in assessing regulatory changes proposed are implementation in line with materiality assessment framework
  • Assist in verifying that responsible individuals within the organization meet the fit and proper standards under the Senior Manager Regime or similar guidelines
  • Help monitor and assess the effectiveness of regulatory governance frameworks and processes, suggesting improvements when needed
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to help identify potential impacts on the organization
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and business development teams, to ensure a unified approach to regulatory matters
  • Provide support to the regulatory team when representing the organization in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and public consultations
  • Show a strong interest in developing knowledge in the areas of Regulation and/or Legal, Governance and Compliance

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services with a minimum of 3 years in Compliance or Legal
  • Technical expertise in regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements

  • Annual Country Compliance Plan: Preparing, obtaining approval and successfully completing an annual compliance risk management plan, in accordance with the global template and content and presentation requirements, setting out how compliance risk will be managed within the jurisdiction and its constituent parts, and the role to be played by ICRM in order to achieve the plan.
