Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for an Associate Quest Designer to join the development of a new IP. Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! As a member of the Content Team, you’ll create fun and memorable quest experiences by designing and implementing the many types of content that players can engage with in our game. As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better; with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration. Job Responsibility:
Collaborating with the quest, narrative, level design teams and other departments in crafting a cohesive experience for the game’s locations, characters, content, and plots
Designing and implementing functional quests and becoming proficient in using our tools
Help express the story vision via excellent exploration, dialogue, gameplay, and activities
Providing constructive feedback on others’ work
Requirements:
Early professional experience as a professional Game Designer (or some combination of applicable training and experience)
Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, etc.)
Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team and comfortable with self-critique and accepting outside feedback
Creative problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Experience pitching game design concepts in a clear, detailed manner, through strong written and verbal skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet agreed-upon timelines
Nice to have:
Experience with AAA games
Having made your own game as a side or indie project
Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming, etc.
Experience playing and/or crafting pen and paper, board, or trading card games
Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
