Job Description:

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Associate Quantity Surveyor to take a pivotal role across a diverse portfolio of commercial, education and mixed-use schemes. Based in Winchester, this is a client-facing opportunity that involves overseeing full cost management services throughout the design and construction lifecycle. This position would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor with strong consultancy experience, capable of leading project delivery while supporting the wider cost management team. The role offers long-term progression within a highly respected regional office of a national practice.

Job Responsibility:

Lead cost planning and estimating across multiple project stages
Manage full pre- and post-contract commercial responsibilities
Oversee preparation and evaluation of tender documents and procurement strategy
Conduct regular reporting on cost, value, and risk to internal stakeholders and clients
Guide and mentor junior team members, supporting professional development
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
Deliver contract administration duties under JCT and NEC contracts

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Chartered MRICS status preferred (or working towards)
Minimum 7 years’ consultancy experience
Strong commercial acumen and leadership ability
Proven track record in delivering cost consultancy services across various sectors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
