Job Description

Perform field inspection of fitting and welding in accordance with project specification and scope as noted in the ITP. Review and familiarize with Project AFC drawing, NDT drawing, ITP, Work Instruction and Project specification relating to assigned project. Execute the inspection and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant objectives proofs, ensuring monitoring and coordination of quality control activities on electrical and instrument equipment/system construction, installation and mechanical completion activities. Conducting business & performing duties in accordance to McDermott's " Code of Business Conduct".

Job Responsibility

  • Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
  • Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
  • Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with the approved drawings and inspection & Test Plan
  • All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
  • Coordinate interface with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
  • Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel
  • Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP

Requirements

  • High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study
  • 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
