Boeing Global Services (BGS),Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Wichita, KS.

Job Responsibility:

  • Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
  • Provides objective evidence of results
  • Segregates and controls non-conforming items
  • Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
  • Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc
  • Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
  • Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
  • Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
  • Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards
  • communicate with vendor as needed
  • Disposition and control of non-conforming products

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope
  • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
  • Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
  • This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam

Nice to have:

  • Previous aerospace inspection experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
