Job Description:

Associate Project Manager role at HSBC focusing on IT project delivery with strong emphasis on project management, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with banking controls and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Keeping track of budget and schedule for the project lifecycle
  • Identifying risks and escalating issues on time, to the right stakeholders and mitigating them
  • Own the project issues and ensure its resolution by engaging with appropriate teams
  • Participating in review over key project documents like Initial Request, Clear-choices, Solution Proposal, Test Strategy, etc.
  • To receive and challenge estimates from all IT stakeholders and coming up with project plan for project delivery
  • Identify and engage all necessary stakeholders for the project
  • Owning and preparing key project documents like TOR, Test Strategy, Implementation Plan, and Post Implementation Report (PIR) etc.
  • Timely status reporting over project and escalations, as required
  • Identifying and managing all changes over projects as per agreed change control
  • Ensuring compliance to HSBC Controls and Processes
  • Play key role in project and resource prioritization along with IT and Business stakeholders
  • ITSO Role to be performed for several services

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Must have good exposure to Project Management and Agile Scrum practices and methodology
  • Min. 10 years of experience is required
  • Experience in infrastructure project management is a must
  • Certified with PMP and/or Agile
  • Proven track record of IT delivery across numerous large projects
  • Co-ordination of activities across multiple IT teams in multiple locations and time zones
  • Proven practical application of BTF and experience of the whole project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder management, within the business and IT
  • Strong risk management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project Management tools - Clarity/GPDM/ODS/etc.
  • Negotiation Skills
