Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Program Relations Manager in serving as a liaison between Patient Support Programs (PSPs) and Health Care Professionals, providing support and completing delegated tasks as required
  • Revise, complete and coordinate private and public reimbursement documents with PSPs or directly with private insurer if no PSP exists
  • Coordinate the submission of Enrolment forms to PSPs
  • Collect necessary patient information and contact patients based on directions from the Health Care Professional and Program Relations Manager
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the Program Relations Manager or Senior Manager. Present project results to management, including data analysis, reconciliation, and the creation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Identifies process improvements and provide clear recommendations to the Program Relations Manager
  • Provide triage support for information received by PSPs and facilitate access to required PSP services
  • Interact with patients, pharmacies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to facilitate script renewals and other assigned tasks
  • Maintain clear communication with managers, pods, and colleagues regarding case management, particularly during planned absences
  • Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments
  • Travel occasionally to a physician’s office or company office with the Program Relations Manager, as agreed upon
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum University Degree in a related field or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working for a patient support program
  • Customer service, experience in call centers, medical, pharmaceutical and/or insurance industry is an asset
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal), is required
  • Fluency in French (written and verbal) may be required, depending on program and geographic location
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, DocuSign, Adobe Pro and Visio are considered an asset
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems effectively
  • Proven ability to analyze data, interpret findings, and effectively present results to relevant audiences
  • Proven ability to manage time, set priorities and multi-task to meet various competing work deadlines

Nice to have

  • Customer service, experience in call centers, medical, pharmaceutical and/or insurance industry is an asset
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, DocuSign, Adobe Pro and Visio are considered an asset
