As a member of the GSS DAS PgM team, you will have the opportunity to drive the analysis behind various operations and product-related decisions @ Uber. You will perform a range of activities demonstrating your analytical thought leadership, automation mindset and will be involved in Program Managing multiple data-driven projects.
Job Responsibility:
Design of KPI tracking systems for complex company-wide metrics across various Uber products and teams globally
Using AI to Integrate LLMs (like GPT) into apps, using APIs to access AI models, creating intelligent features (e.g., chatbots, recommendation systems), automating workflows with AI, applying pre-trained models to business use cases
Performing analytical deep dives to drive product/strategy road-map
Apply expertise in statistical analysis, data mining and visualization to own and deliver end to end analytical solution development
Translate analytical solution into actionable insights and recommendations for the technical and non-technical audience in a clear, concise and persuasive way
Maintain and continue to raise the bar for quality/efficiency of analytical solution delivery across the team
Focus on long term improvements by building, maintaining, and documenting best practices within the team and seek continuous improvement opportunities
Lead vendor data analysts in project execution
Do all that it takes to drive and deliver multiple analytical and data engineering projects to partner teams across Uber
Requirements:
BA/BS/MS in Physics, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, OR, Computer Science, or any other quantitative field
Has knowledge and experience of applying different techniques OF turning the potential of AI into tangible business value by Integrating LLMs (like GPT) into apps, using APIs to access AI models, creating intelligent features (e.g., chatbots, recommendation systems), automating workflows with AI, applying pre-trained models to business use cases
Proficient in writing and understanding complex SQL queries
Strong multi-tasking & project management skills, and a keen sense of prioritization
Ability to thrive and deliver in an ambiguous environment
Self-motivated and driven to deliver agreed results on-time
Good story-telling & articulation skills – ability to convert analytical output into clear, concise, and persuasive insights & recommendations for technical & non-technical audience
Strong influence and relationship management skills
comfortable interacting across all levels of stakeholders
A minimum 2+ years’ experience in an analytics delivery role
Nice to have:
Programming background and expertise in solving a business problem using at least one of the following languages: Python, R
Has knowledge and experience of applying different techniques OF turning the potential of AI into tangible business value by Integrating LLMs (like GPT) into apps, using APIs to access AI models, creating intelligent features (e.g., chatbots, recommendation systems), automating workflows with AI, applying pre-trained models to business use cases
Experience with Big Data platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and their ecosystems (Hive, Pig)
Experience working with large data sets and Hive database
Experience of successfully managing small to medium-scale projects
