Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for Associate Professor and Professor teaching-track faculty positions at its Mumbai campus. These positions focus on delivering high-quality undergraduate and graduate instruction in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related areas of Computer Science. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student mentorship, and curriculum development. Senior faculty will also contribute to academic leadership, program development, and mentorship of junior faculty, helping to build strong AI and ML programs at Illinois Tech’s Mumbai campus. Courses will be delivered in person in Mumbai, India. Online teaching is not an option.
Job Responsibility:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Deliver courses in areas such as: Machine Learning
Deep Learning
Advanced Artificial Intelligence
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Data Preparation and Data Analysis
Contribute to curriculum development and course design for AI and ML programs
Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students
Participate in departmental, college, and campus service activities
Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior faculty
Support the development and growth of Illinois Tech Mumbai academic programs
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by the start of the appointment
Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching
Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to teach advanced AI and machine learning courses
For Associate Professor and Professor-level candidates, the following are preferred: Significant experience teaching undergraduate and graduate AI/ML courses
Evidence of curriculum development or academic leadership
Experience mentoring students and junior faculty
A record of scholarly or professional contributions in AI, machine learning, or data science
