Job Responsibility:
Research Leadership: Drive a robust research agenda in smart manufacturing, securing significant grants and producing impactful, high-quality publications
Industry Catalyst: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with local and international aerospace and high-tech sectors to facilitate technology transfer
Academic Excellence: Deliver engaging curriculum in mechatronics, robotics, and additive manufacturing, ensuring students gain industry-relevant skills
Mentorship: Supervise and inspire postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) toward successful research outcomes
Requirements:
A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a strictly related field from a recognized institution
Mandatory registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., Board of Engineers Malaysia)
Professional Engineer (PEng), IPEA, or APEC Engineer status is highly desirable
Deep technical knowledge in Industry 4.0/5.0, robotics, automation systems, additive manufacturing, or process optimization
Substantial teaching experience in higher education
A proven track record of securing major research funding
Demonstrated success in industry-academia collaboration and technology transfer
