Job Description:

As an Associate Product Counsel, you’ll play a key role in new products and features development, managing regulatory complexities and addressing commercial and consumer law matters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Tech, Strategy, Marketing, Compliance, and other business stakeholders. Your role will involve providing strategic legal advice, fostering innovation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Satispay’s diverse offerings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Play the role of strategic product counsel throughout the lifecycle of new product and feature development
  • Draft terms of service, promotional program rules and other customer-facing documentation
  • Analyze complex legal issues and ensure all new features and services align with regulatory and consumer law requirements
  • Assist in managing relationships with regulatory authorities
  • Provide expert advice on financial, consumer protection laws and commercial legal issues related to the B2C and B2B expansion of the Satispay ecosystem
  • Partner with business teams to create groundbreaking services by developing innovative legal solutions that balance business needs with risk management

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer
  • Strong background in reputable law firms
  • At least 5 years of experience in advising clients on technology, customer-facing products, commercial and consumer law issues in the Tech, Fintech or Insurance industry
  • Familiar with the Tech or Fintech ecosystem: payment schemes, wallet architectures, and the regulatory complexities of scaling digital financial products across Europe
  • Previous in-house experience within a legal department of a tech/fintech company is considered a strong plus
  • Able to take smart risks and provide strategic advice
  • Able to align regulatory requirements with business objectives
  • Able to immerse into the tech/product aspects with a high level of curiosity
  • Willing to find out-of-the-box customer-facing features as well as balance legal risks
  • Confident in making sound decisions even in situations of ambiguity or with incomplete information
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Italian
