Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join us in a graduate level role in our fast-growing innovative Travel Insurance Product as part of the Travel Pricing team. If you are a recent graduate, this could be the perfect opportunity to build your career in an analytical world and master the skills needed to be an excellent pricing analyst. You’ll support the strategy of the product through pricing reviews and analysis on customer segments and your role will involve working to interpret data efficiently and make suggestions for pricing changes.

Job Responsibility

  • Effectively drive forward the implementation of pricing initiatives using analytical tools
  • Analysing our pricing structures and past performance to improve profitability and competitivity
  • Optimise the use of existing internal and external data sources and evaluate the value of new data sources
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers and stakeholders including leadership
  • Supporting the technical implementation and testing of price changes
  • Liaising with peers in Motor, Household and Pet Pricing departments for collaboration and cross-product learning
  • Respond to customer, agent and underwriting queries and use these to help improve our pricing structure

Requirements

  • A degree, 2:1 (or equivalent) or above in a STEM or strong numeric discipline
  • Hunger for knowledge and desire for problem solving
  • Ability to analyse data and provide strategic insight
  • Strong organisational skills to help manage workloads and prioritise tasks from a variety of stakeholders
  • Good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as able to feed into wider teamwork
  • Demonstrable ability to combine analytical thinking based on numbers, together with common sense and imagination
  • Recent graduate

  • Willing to learn programming skills using SQL and other related software used for manipulating and analysing big data
