Job Description:

The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Associate Planner. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening attendance at public hearings as needed. Remote work one day per week may be available upon successful completion of probation.

Job Responsibility:

Answer planning and zoning related questions to customers at the front counter, over the phone and through email
Perform entry-level technical planning work involving the research, review, analysis and coordination of various administrative zoning applications
Process minor applications requiring public hearings

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration or a related field
1 year of experience in planning or a related field
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
