Job Description:

As an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, you will be a key player in ensuring a positive patient experience, particularly within the registration process. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator also includes verifying patient data, insurance information, and resolving any patient inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

Appropriate patient identification
Collecting accurate and thorough patient demographic data
Obtaining insurance information and verifying eligibility and benefits
Determining and collecting patient financial liability and referring patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for assistance with financial counseling and/or clearance
Adhering to the organization's policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability

Requirements:

Exceptional customer service skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers
Proficient in understanding and implementing procedures and policies related to patient care
Sound knowledge of insurance policies, benefit functions, and reimbursement processes
Familiarity with liability and offshore processes related to patient care
Ability to accurately record patient demographic information and carry out patient registration
Proficient in managing registration processes in a healthcare setting
Experience in providing financial counseling to patients and understanding patient financial requirements
Knowledge of TRICARE and its application in patient care coordination
Proficiency in using NIS software for patient care coordination
Strong understanding and respect for patient rights in a healthcare environment
