Aon are currently recruiting an Associate Partner to join their DC and Financial Wellbeing Consulting Team. This role is suitable for someone with either (or both) an investment or non-investment focus. The UK DC pensions landscape is evolving at a rapid pace. Economic challenges, legislative change, an ageing population, and asset volatility pose a wide variety of risks and challenges to DC pension schemes. This is a senior position within the DC Team, and you will be expected to drive new business, through maintaining and developing a pipeline of prospects, and contribute to the thought leadership and future strategy of the team.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborating with colleagues across a variety of clients in relation to the full spectrum of DC consulting services
Owning projects and driving these forwards (for example, consolidation exercises, review of DC delivery model, member engagement projects, DC contribution reviews, AVC reviews)
Understanding and focus on delivering value and good member outcomes
Using your strong technical knowledge and experience to proactively build the DC expertise within the team, through training and mentoring of more junior colleagues
Leading relationships with clients (large to mid-market), with accountability for developing those relationships
Directing large client projects
Overall responsibility for quality of technical work delivered to clients
Strong participation in meetings externally and internally (showing role model behaviours)
Contribute to the thought leadership and future strategy of the business (e.g. leading a specialist team or driving new propositions)
Strong focus on growth and securing new business, prospecting for new business and leading client pitches
Requirements:
Previously worked in a DC pension environment either in an investment or non-investment capacity
Track record in leading client relationships
Experience of prospecting for new business and leading client pitches
Strong focus on growing the client base and revenue
FCA or CFA approved status desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable advising Trustee Boards and those in senior company roles at a strategic level
Able to encourage and develop other colleagues, and work well within diverse teams
Good project oversight, time management and organisation skills
