Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a respected Seattle-area law firm seeking an Associate or Of Counsel Attorney to support its litigation practice. The firm is looking for an attorney with an insurance defense background and strong hands-on litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience, with preference for candidates who have handled insurance defense, general liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, construction defect, coverage, bad faith, or similar civil litigation matters.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing litigation matters from intake through resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • Handling written discovery and document review
  • Conducting legal research and case analysis
  • Preparing for and attending depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial-related proceedings
  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal teams
  • Supporting case strategy and settlement evaluation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience with discovery, depositions, mediations, and case management
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Active bar admission required
  • Washington bar admission preferred
