Job Description:

The Campbell’s Company is seeking an Associate Manager, Corporate Communications to join a dynamic communications team focused on strategic storytelling, primarily supporting external communications. This role is ideal for a high energy, forward thinking communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and wants to help write the next chapter of an iconic company’s history. You will play a critical role in elevating and protecting the company’s reputation through impactful storytelling and thoughtful engagement across audiences and channels.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support external communications initiatives that align with business priorities and protect and enhance the company’s reputation
  • Support proactive and reactive media relations, building strong relationships with business, trade, local, and community press
  • Monitor critical issues impacting the company’s business, brand, and reputation, and prepare mitigation and response plans for time-sensitive situations
  • Support executive visibility plans for the operating committee
  • Track, analyze, and report on media coverage and communications KPIs to measure impact and inform continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field (additional education counts for additional years of experience)
  • Proven experience in external communications, including storytelling, strategic planning, media relations, and change management
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills across a variety of formats, including presentations, digital content, social media, blogs, video, and newsletters
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner with leaders across a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, policy communications, and issues management
  • General business and financial literacy, with a strong interest in news and current events shaping the business environment
  • Strong research and fact‑checking capabilities
  • Adaptable, proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience using collaboration and publishing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
  • Design and editing skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video production tools
