Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Level Designer to join the development of a new IP. Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! As a member of the Content Design department, you’ll be crafting immersive, engaging, and visually compelling gameplay environments. You will be responsible for designing and implementing content within large-scale, open world levels for both single-player and cooperative game modes, ensuring they are fun, realistic, and aligned with the creative vision of the project.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborating with design leadership and artists to craft unique spaces where gameplay flow and visual composition create memorable experiences
Designing, prototyping, implementing and polishing in-game spaces and content, including level geometry, enemy encounters and other gameplay activities, using our proprietary tools
Working within multi discipline teams to help create spaces for a variety of quests and activities
Providing constructive feedback to peers and contribute to team-wide design discussions
Managing your own tasks and deadlines effectively
Communicating progress and challenges across disciplines
Requirements:
Early professional experience as a professional Level Designer (or some combination of applicable training and experience)
Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, game data and etc.)
Understanding and Execution of the fundamentals of Open World Level Design in modern game engines
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a confidential environment
Creative problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Experience pitching level design concepts in a clear, detailed manner, through strong written and verbal skills
Nice to have:
Experience with AAA games
Having made your own game as a side or indie project
Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming, etc.
Architectural experience
Experience with scripting languages
Experience playing and/or crafting pen and paper, board, or trading card games
