Job Description:

The Associate Lecturer in Property Maintenance This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons, as well as assessing and supporting students in their learning journey. While a teaching qualification is beneficial, we can provide the necessary training and support for applicants to achieve their teaching qualifications. Please note, this is a Sessional post and has no guaranteed hours attached to it.

Job Responsibility:

  • To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives
  • To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes
  • Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
  • Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 2 qualification in any construction trade
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Construction industry or property maintenance
  • Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards
  • Ability to meet targets within set timescales
  • Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
  • Computer literate
