Job Responsibility

  • Driving Complex Tax Planning and M&A Initiatives
  • Gain exposure to complex matters supporting a sophisticated client base including corporations, partnerships, trusts, high-net-worth individuals, and government entities, while advancing your expertise in Canadian tax law

Requirements

  • Admission to the Ontario Bar (or eligible for admission)
  • Minimum of 2+ years of practical experience in tax planning, ideally with exposure to M&A and corporate transactions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with precision and professionalism
  • Completion of the in-depth taxation course or M.Tax an asset

Nice to have

  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and M&A transactions
  • Clerkship experience with Canadian Tax Court
  • Familiarity with broader tax disciplines or related legal areas
