Job Responsibility

  • Manage legal affairs of the affiliated companies of the Group in the Americas and ensure that the Group’s processes, contract templates and guidelines are applied
  • Negotiate contracts and provide timely and efficient legal support to the various departments
  • Advise the operating units on specific legal issues and risks in the USA and the Americas with emphasis on practical solutions focused on revenue generation and risk mitigation
  • Handle contract management and development of contract standards in the region
  • Assist with local internal corporate governance
  • Represent Tradewind’s interest in commercial collection litigation derivative of Tradewind’s ordinary role as finance provider
  • Liaison with external attorneys

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in a commercial financial sector, in particular – Accounts Receivable Factoring or Asset Securitizations
  • Thorough knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code issues with emphasis on Articles 2 and 9, general insolvency laws, documentary bank collections, and transportation logistics
  • Law degree and licensed in NY
  • English
  • German (optional)
  • Excellent attention to detail, autonomous and good adaptation skills
  • Proactive, cooperative, and straight forward approach
