Job Description

Meta is seeking an experienced and adaptable attorney to join the Legal Department's Corporate team and advise the company on a range of corporate transactions and initiatives. This team moves fast and successful candidates must demonstrate experience operating independently in an evolving environment. Candidates should excel at developing relationships with various teams across the company, including Corporate Development, Integration, Finance, Human Resources and other cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead domestic and international M&A transactions, joint ventures, strategic investments and other complex corporate transaction matters and initiatives
  • Draft, negotiate and review transaction documentation, provide advice on deal structuring and strategy, and conduct and support due diligence
  • Provide strategic advice to the business and Corporate Development on a broad range of transactional matters
  • Partner collaboratively with Corporate Development, Integration and other cross-functional teams, and manage cross-functional legal experts, to execute transactions and integrate targets
  • Coordinate and manage domestic and international outside counsel
  • Support and manage internal corporate initiatives and policies

Requirements

  • J.D. degree or foreign equivalent
  • Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status
  • 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience
  • Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Corporate legal experience on M&A transactions and strategic investments
