An Associate Field Engineer performs maintenance, repairs, and installations at customer sites while supporting senior technicians to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction. They assist in improving processes and managing resources, including tools and equipment. The role offers hands-on training in airport services and technical systems. Guided by experienced team members, they contribute to operational goals and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility
Install, configure, and maintain equipment at customer sites per specifications
Diagnose technical issues and perform timely repairs to ensure performance
Deliver training to customers on equipment use and care
Provide on-site support, addressing technical questions and concerns
Keep accurate records of installations, service visits, and repairs
Support facility upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards
Follow data governance rules and monitor data quality and consistency
Maintain and monitor inventory of parts, tools, and equipment
Use systems to track stock movement and contribute to inventory reports
Stay updated on products and trends to improve service delivery
Requirements
Minimum Diploma / Certificate level qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent in country IT qualification
Minimum of 1 year experience in onsite support activities and repairs of PCs, Printers, OR airport services equipment
Must have dealt directly with external customers delivering to contractual service levels
Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware issues
Good written documentation skills (incident records, reporting)
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on physical equipment
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal to collaborate with local, regional & global teams
Nice to have
Basic technical support or IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), CompTIA A+)
Entry-level safety and compliance certifications (e.g., OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry Certification)
General equipment or systems certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+ or equivalent foundational networking knowledge)
ITIL Foundation Certificate
Experience of working in the Airport / Airline industry, preferred
