We're seeking an Associate Engineer to join our Buffalo-based engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career civil structural engineer who is ready to apply their technical foundation to complex, creative, and highly visible projects.
Job Responsibility:
Modeling and analysis of tensioned membrane structures using finite element large deflection software
Summarize and present engineering results in report format for client review and approval
Working with a project designer to develop general arrangement drawings for client review and approval
Create fabric cutting patterns meeting the geometry requirements of the project
Coordinate project work in conjunction with the Project Manager, Supervising Engineer, and Project Designer to ensure timely and accurate completion of the assigned project
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope
Strong demonstrated ability to analyze and design steel fabricated structures
Demonstrating the ability to learn and grow under the supervision of a senior level Engineer
Requirements:
0-3 years of relevant engineering experience
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong theoretical background with specific knowledge relating to designing steel structures
Proficiency in standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam
