Job Description:

Build iconic structures that shape skylines. At Enclos Tensile Structures, we design, engineer, fabricate, and install custom tensile structures that define skylines and transform public spaces - from stadiums to transportation hubs and beyond. Our work blends architectural vision with advanced structural engineering to bring lightweight, high-performance structures to life. We're seeking an Associate Engineer to join our Buffalo-based engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career civil structural engineer who is ready to apply their technical foundation to complex, creative, and highly visible projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Modeling and analysis of tensioned membrane structures using finite element large deflection software
  • Summarize and present engineering results in report format for client review and approval
  • Working with a project designer to develop general arrangement drawings for client review and approval
  • Create fabric cutting patterns meeting the geometry requirements of the project
  • Coordinate project work in conjunction with the Project Manager, Supervising Engineer, and Project Designer to ensure timely and accurate completion of the assigned project
  • Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope
  • Strong demonstrated ability to analyze and design steel fabricated structures
  • Demonstrating the ability to learn and grow under the supervision of a senior level Engineer

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong theoretical background with specific knowledge relating to designing steel structures
  • Proficiency in standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam
