responsible for replacing components in servers which includes installation of processors, DIMMs, PCA boards, cables, heat sinks, and other high value material
must be familiar with using different computer applications and be able to navigate simple software

Job Responsibility

Reviews and tests operability of electronic systems and components
troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning systems and components
reads/interprets schematics, printouts and specifications as needed to complete tests to determine the functionality of electrical circuitry and components
participates with engineers in the debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing products
replacing components in servers which includes installation of processors, DIMMs, PCA boards, cables, heat sinks, and other high value material
provides system statuses both verbally and in report form as required
interfaces with engineers, technicians, and Field personnel regarding system level problems.

Requirements

Experience performing functional test and diagnostics using custom PC based test equipment and software
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines

Maintain safe working practices and comply with safety and quality standards
Associate degree in electronic hardware systems engineering or equivalent from the military or technical school preferred

Troubleshoot products using oscilloscopes and digital volt meters
Configures and tests end products to meet customer and company specifications and requirements
Configures test equipment to meet multiple testing requirements based on product and customer specifications
Evaluates returned products for failures
Maintains accurate documentation of product test results and updates troubleshooting logs
