Job Description:

At HSBC, the term sustainability means achieving sustained profits for our shareholders, developing long-lasting customer relationships, valuing our highly committed employees and managing the social and environmental impact of our business. Global Sustainability sets global strategy on sustainability and focuses on managing the challenges of climate change, managing the social and environmental risks of projects that we finance and identifying business opportunities that have an environmental or social dimension. Global Sustainability oversees HSBC’s global philanthropic programmes as philanthropy forms an integral component of the Bank’s approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

Job Responsibility:

Plan and supervise the implementation of all philanthropic projects in Hong Kong supported by the Hongkong Bank Foundation in collaboration with charity partners
Identify, engage and onboard suitable charity partners according to the funding strategy of the Foundation
Promote and operationalise employee participation in community services through the HSBC Volunteering Scheme
Lead and participate strategically in cross-functional stakeholder engagements
Support the Global Philanthropy team on global and regional initiatives

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a complex and dynamic commercial organisation
Domain knowledge related to corporate philanthropy and a focus area of HSBC’s philanthropy strategy
Excellent communications skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese)
Experience in strategic stakeholder engagement a plus
A self-driven individual with a passion in making a positive change for the team and the wider community
