Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Associate Director to join our Structural team in Melbourne. This key position will act as the liaison between our Melbourne and Canberra offices, providing vital support to the Director and taking on leadership responsibilities across both teams. While based in Melbourne, the role will require time in Canberra to strengthen collaboration and ensure project delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver practical, economical, and innovative engineering solutions across a variety of projects
  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale projects, including pricing, tender submissions, project scheduling, resourcing, and budget oversight
  • Produce and review designs, specifications, technical documentation, reports, and fee proposals
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while driving business opportunities
  • Guide and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and encouraging best practice
  • Support the Director in the financial, technical, and contractual management of projects

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ structural engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Strong technical capability in concrete design
  • steel design experience desirable
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with CPEng accreditation
  • Thorough understanding of the BCA and relevant Australian Standards
