Job Description

Our Brisbane office is currently seeking to appoint an Associate Director - Bridges with significant engineering design experience, strong communication skills and the desire to lead and mentor developing engineers within the group. This is a pivotal role with the Brisbane Structures team to manage projects and future work pipeline, interface with key clients, conduct business development activities and to develop and mentor a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
  • 15+ year’s industry related experience is essential with a focus (e.g., 7+ years) on the design, analysis, and management of bridge projects
  • 7+ years in a similar Management role is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in bridge analysis software (e.g., Midas Civil, CSI Bridge, LUSAS, SAP2000)
  • Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes for projects
  • Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects and communicating with clients
  • An innovative and out of the box attitude to solutions and designs
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others
  • Ability to develop their own team and client base
  • Ability to win work with support from the Structures Team

Nice to have

7+ years in a similar Management role is highly desirable
