Associate Director, Software Engineering

• Lead an AI delivery team to implement business use cases effectively
• Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models
• Ensure strict adherence to architectural principles, technical standards, security requirements, and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues
• Establish best practices for engineering including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
• Collaborate with AI engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate AI capabilities into production-ready systems

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• equivalent experience will be considered
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• At least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role focusing on AI or ML platform projects
• Proven expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multimodal Representation Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Hands-on experience in fine-tuning and developing LLMs
• Strong knowledge of emerging trends in LLMs and open-source platforms
• Proficiency in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agent frameworks
• Advanced programming skills in Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and essential libraries like scikit-learn, pandas
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud/Ali)
• Experience with container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Knowledge of implementing Responsible AI controls, data governance, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical platforms from concept to production
