Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering. HSBC is committed to building a culture where employees are valued, respected, and have opportunities for professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a team of 4 DevOps engineers
Support different BAU requests, such as creating new pipelines, provisioning new AWS services, and production releases
Be the owner of our entire AWS environment, constantly monitoring the platform health and troubleshooting any issues
Automate the manual workflows such as code releases, infrastructure build and update, change management, monitoring and alerting
Help to identify and mitigate or acknowledge risks as a part of the DevOps practice
Contribute to our JIRA backlog refinement, retrospective and sharing sessions
Rotate with our 24/7 support mobile on-call by schedules
Develop dashboard/tooling to monitor DevOps metrics, such as health status, resource management, cost monitoring, alarms, incidents, CRs (change request), etc.

Requirements:

Experience with AWS Cloud ECS Fargate, K8s, Aurora, Redis, IAM, and VPC designs and automation
Experience working with Java, micro-service, distributed systems and Docker/containerized architecture
Strong scripting skills in Python, bash and batch
Good understanding of 'IaC', and, preferably, familiar with Terraform
CI/CD tools such as GoCD, ConcourseCI, Bamboo, preferably Jenkins
Automation tooling and DevOps best practices evangelist
Innovative and self-driven mindset, always looking for improvements and learning
Fluent verbal and written communications in English
